Located in the North East of Koh Samui, the Bophut district is very pleasant and atypical. It is one of the most popular districts of the island for expatriates because it is very well located and close to many amenities such as the airport, shopping mall, hospitals, restaurants etc…
It is also known for the small atypical alleys of “The Fisherman’s Village”, the heart of this tourist area. Its, in fact, one of Bophut’s most traditional attractions with the Big Buddha and the temples. The beach, very well maintained and has many beach clubs with a magnificent view of the island of Koh Phangan. This district was made up of charming wooden Chinese shop-houses on the waterfront, now transformed for the most part into restaurants or shops, there is a relaxing, friendly and family atmosphere in Bophut.

Koh Samui
Koh Samui is the second largest island in Thailand know as the “Pearl of the China’ Sea”. It is located in the Gulf of Thailand, off the east coast of the Isthmus of Kra. It is known for its magnificent palm-lined beaches, coconut groves, dense and mountainous rainforest, luxury complexes and fancy spas.
The famous Wat Phra Yai temple, with its imposing 12-metre high golden Buddha statue, occupies a small island connected to Koh Samui that is a must visit. Koh Samui got many secret and hidden places to discover by yourself, don’t hesitate to be adventurous.

Chaweng
Chaweng is where all started in Koh Samui years ago, it’s the most developed Koh Samui area. By going there you will find many small shops, a high end mall Central Festival with it’s cinema, a large choice of restaurant from all around the world you just have to pick the kind of food you would like to eat and you will find it in Chaweng. But Chaweng is not only shops and restaurant it’s also a nice beach with many beach clubs and also everyday a really active nightlife place if you would like to hangout to have a drink or more.
Bophut Beach
Villa Tropical Cocoon is located really close to Bophut Beach, one of the biggest and most beautiful beach of Koh Samui. It’s a wonderful 3 km white sand beach with coconut trees all along, you will enjoy a stunning view of Koh Phangan island while your are swimming on the crystalline sea of the gulf of Thailand. You can also find many activities to do on Bophut beach like jet-ski, paddle, parasailing and many mores… You can also go to discover Koh Phangan island really easily from there, the only thing you have to do it’s to go to Meanam pier and buy a boat ticket .
